Not-So Tiny Bubbles!

A couple weeks ago, we went to a bubble demonstration at the library. We really enjoyed the show and since there was a small crowd Professor Zap put each kid there in a giant bubble. I was very disappointed to not have my camera with me so we caught up with him at a different library. The second demonstration was packed and 1/2 of the moms there stood in the hall so I had low expectations of getting a picture this time. However, after the show, if you were willing to wait your turn, Professor Zap would put you in a bubble, his handle even broke and he kept going! Needless to say, we're big Professor Zap fans now.

Here Kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty!

We brought home a couple of kittens from the cabin. Zack picked out an orange one because it looks like Cooper (his grandparents golden retriever). Cooper's now 6 months old!

Since I'm not positive of the gender of the kittens, I wanted to come up with some neutral namesHere is Salfy (for Salt Fork) and Zack snoozingand here's Mosby where Emily has decided he(or she) needs to be at the moment.

Just Zack!

Zack has been busy the past couple weeks.
-He was the Star Student for his preschool class recently.

The poster tells about his favorite color, food, etc.

and that he wants to be a UPS man when he grows up!

-He made some new friends at the cabin!

There are 5 kittens in this liter and all of them were so tolerant of Zack & Emily's manhandling which was impressive since they haven't had much human contact.

-He turned 5 and a HALF!

He's been on a kick lately that he doesn't want his birthday to be at the end of the year, he wants it to be first, etc. etc. so on May 18th, we celebrated him turning 5 1/2. We brought some cupcakes to the park to share with our friends.

-And he graduated from Preschool!
The ceremony was nice, the whole graduating class sang songs in the church, then went to the social halls to receive their diplomas from their teachers.

Zack & Daddy's First Soccer Team

Our soccer season is underway!

Greg is coaching Zack's team and their first game was Saturday.

He's #7.

He was quite a hoot, I wish I could have videotaped more of the game but Emily was a handful.

Kite Festival!

We went to a Kite Festival Cancer Benefit this weekend.

The weather was absolutely perfect for this event so we had a really wonderful time.This scuba diver is chasing a Nemo fish as he's being chased by a shark.

We thought it was super cool!

Dentist Visit

The kids went to a new dentist last week. I'm very relieved that Emily approves of this one!

I loved how she let Emily assist her and outfitted them in gloves and masks.

Snow much fun!

Our weekend was packed with wintery fun!

On Saturday morning we went sled riding.

Zack had a blast and would hop on that sled head first.Then on Sunday we had a grand time at the Grandparents!

Uncle Kirky made forts and igloos!We had a snowball fight!


and built a snowlady named Laura. We started to build a
Keith but the kids were ready for lunch.

This is a snow version of E.T. we built at the grandparents.

The kids were pictured in 3 different newspapers within a weeks time frame.

Candyland!

A couple of weeks ago, a local library hosted a Candyland Adventure Game so the kids and I stopped in there to play a round and collect some candy. The library submitted photos to a local newspaper and of course, Zack and Emily are worthy of the front page!

Happy 5th Birthday Zack!

Zack is 5 years old today! We've been celebrating his birthday for almost a week now! First we had a party with some pals from our playgroup. It was Mickey Mouse themed since Zack & Mickey share a birthday.
At one point or another, Zack said he wanted a football cake, so I made one in the shape of a helmet for the family party.

This morning I blew up a bunch of balloons and piled them on him while he was sleeping.

And then we celebrated with his classmates today and when daddy gets home, we'll go out for a birthday dinner (betcha pizza is involved).
