Play Ball!

We went to our first baseball game as a family on Saturday night. We got rained out just about the time the kids were starting to get restless. I didn't mind our short visit to the game as our tickets were free and those fly/pop balls were a little too close for my comfort.

Give Austism the Boot!

On Saturday there was a fundraising drive to benefit the Rich Center, an area center for Autistic Children. Greg was assigned a Handels Ice Cream location. I hope the drive was a big success!

Another trip to the Zoo!

We visited the Pittsburgh Zoo again yesterday.
That fish stayed in that spot the whole time we were there.
This isn't the greatest picture but it's the best of the bunch. The zoo has a Sting Ray pool and on the left and against the back wall are tunnels the kids can crawl through, look up and see the Rays above them. Then they can try and touch one while in that corner spot. There weren't any Rays passing by while Zack was there.
This is Greg and Emily in the On Water's Edge section which will be my favorite once it's done. Right now you can see Polar Bears and Sea Lions but they are setting up areas for a Walrus and Sand Sharks.
We finished up our visit with a train ride.

Giddy-up!

I found out an area library was offering pony rides so we trotted (ha ha!) on over and had a ride. There was a firetruck there to block one end of the street so that was a big bonus.

Akron Zoo & Lake Milton Beach

We took a trip to the Akron Zoo last week. We got to check out their new Jellyfish Exhibit. I thought the displays were quite mesmerizing but the kids didn't so I hope to go back again soon to take a closer look.

Part of the Jellyfish exhibit was hands on. Emily is checking out a lobster.

I think it's safe to say the water fountain was Max's favorite part. I really wish I would have had my video camera ready!

After the zoo we took a side trip to my brother's art display at Square Records. I practiced restraint and didn't take pictures of his work (mostly because I thought my mom wouldn't be able to resist!)

Later in the week we went to the beach at Lake Milton. The kids had lots of fun in the sun!

Slow week

We didn't really do to much this week but Zack claims blue chalk will keep you from getting stung by a bee and Emily insisted on wearing her skates to Target.

Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday Max!

2 years old today!
Happy Birthday Big Guy! We love you!

Fantastic Fourth!

We had such a fantastic 4th of July! We spent the evening at my cousin's house with family, food, fun, frogs, fireworks... all kinds of good stuff! I know they put a LOT of work into this party so I'm so thankful the rain held off and the temperature was comfortable.

Frog hunting

Catch of the Day!

Queen of the 4th of July!

Emily's reaction to every firework (whether she was looking at the time or not) was WOW, COOL!

Happy 4th of July!

This is one of my favorite holidays!
Here's a peek at some of the cookies I made to take to my cousins house this afternoon.

I'm not sure why Zack thinks safety googles are needed for cookie making.
I thought Emily was gonna kiss this container of sprinkles.

** Cookie disclaimer** cookies prepared by my children are consumed by my children

We're really looking forward to my cousin's shindig, she's an excellent hostess! We hope everyone has a fun/relaxing/enjoyable/safe holiday!

Safari Adventure!

We made a visit to the Wagon Trails Animal Park where we were able to get up close & personal with all kinds of animals. I never thought I'd see the day a Zebra licked my toes!

This Ostrich liked Mason best.
The petting zoo section was also a big hit.

I think Emily is trying to feed them gravel in this picture.

The rest of the day was spent having a short visit with Grandpa, watching the Niles 4th of July parade and taking a quick tour of the local fire station. I can't wait until nap time today!

Happy Birthday Keith!

Today is my BABY brother's birthday! This picture of him is from his Hawaiian vacation.

Zack told me yesterday he wants to go visit you which then resulted in a 20-question conversation about why you live there, why do you work, etc. etc.

Hope you have a great day! We Love & Miss you!
