Little Miss Emily

Little Miss Emily has been enrolled into Dance lessons this fall. She had her first lesson Tuesday (a tap/ballet/tumbling combo) and LOVED it. She's a little unsure of the whole right foot/left foot thing and Zack was green with envy the whole time.

She's the littlest one in the pale pink with her back to you in this photo. After the lesson she told me "My Dance, I Like It!" (her favorite phrase lately has been MY do it!)

My kids are good at being kids

If my kids ever say I never let them do anything fun, I'm gonna ground them!
A playgroup pal told us about the Girard Liberty Memorial Park that has a great creek to throw rocks in. Throwing rocks was great fun but then a slip into the water turned into ...
Well, since my shoes are wet I might as well wade around. That turned into...
Might as well enjoy this waterfall slide!
Emily enjoyed herself just not to the same extent.
I wanna try to come back when the leaves are changed since this is such a picturesque spot.
note to self: this would be a great spot to cool off on a super hot day!

Eagle Park!

In a "Oh, no! Summer is almost over!" panic I took the kids out to a super cool playground in Middlefield. On one side of the park there is the typical slides & monkey bars and the other side there are awesome spray & fountains. It turned out to be a real overcast, rainy day but since we were there to get wet anyway, the kids had a great time!

Canfield Fair

We spent Saturday afternoon at the Canfield Fair.
Each year we are able to explore a little more! This is at our usual stop in Old MacDonald's Barn. There are all kinds of baby animals there and they will let you get ducks and chicks out of the cage to hold. Super cute but we literately either scared or squeezed the poop right out of this poor duck!
Had to check out the train!
I think this year was the first stop in the pumpkin barn since Zack was a baby and confined to his stroller!

They were pretty excited to run into Clifford. We were at this fair for at least 4 hours, the kids didn't ride one ride and there were still tons of exhibits we didn't take a look at.

Ox Roast

We made a visit to the Ox Roast Friday night. It's sponsored by a local church and features free car shows, rides and food. We met up with some friends and had a really nice time. It was like a preview night at the County Fair, there was hardly a wait for anything. They aren't serving the roast until Sunday but we enjoyed roasted corn on the cob.

Emily's First Tea Party!

Yesterday we were treated to a wonderful luncheon tea party! Meghan dazzled us with her event planning skills, the decor, food, entertainment and favors were absolutely fabulous! Emily practiced having tea with daddy in the morning, he later painted her nails.

We played sweet tart bingo, decorated picture frames, played dress up and took tons of photos. While we were being treated to a story featuring Princess Elliot, Mermaid Malia and Fairy Emily, Meghan printed out copies of our group photos and framed them for us. The bar for all future tea parties has been set VERY high!
